The Basics of Link Building: Know when to Hold ‘Em

I was contacted by the Marketing Manager of CasinoAffiliatePrograms.com the other day. He informed me of a new Infographic they recently launched. The info graphic is called Link Building: Know when to Hold ‘em, Know when to Fold ‘em! Apparently it’s all about how to build links for your blog that are both useful and harmful. The infographic includes the basics of do’s and don’ts, top gambling operator and affiliate backlink profiles, top SEO ranking factors, devaluation metrics of link building and link building strategies to avoid! It’s surprising to find out that Partypoker is ranked as the top gambling operator considering their backlinks with almost double back links than Poker Stars! Extensive link building has been done by PokerListings.com who have worked hard to be ranked as the top gambling affiliate! If you were wondering how to build traffic for your blog and how to boost your blog’s rankings, the info graphic provides all the answers in an eye-catching image. If you found it helpful, perhaps you’ll learn more at CasinoAffiliatePrograms.com, a guide to gambling affiliate programs.

I have been a professional gambler since 2003 when I first played Blackjack at the local casino. During the following years I developed online betting systems and became an expert in sports trading at the betting exchanges, mainly by scalping the betting odds at horse racing markets. I have also been a casual online poker player and share my experience in my personal gambling blog. Forex and stock trading fascinates me and I am testing trading strategies based on technical analysis applied to financial charts.

The number of links rarely (not to say never) says the whole picture… quality of links is the most important. Fulltilt has the second biggest profile right now…but its most probably because of their bad press right now. And i am guessing most of the links will be disregarded

About those links appearing site-wide: What if it’s in the side bar, like a blogroll, or something? Don’t those links stay on the sidebar, no matter how deep into the pages of the blog you are in?
